Trus, kenapa aturan ini harus dijalankan sih? Nggak kasian ama mereka? Ternyata, pihak Satuan Tugas (satgas) Pelatnas punya alasan kuat, kenapa mereka harus memberlakukan atutan ini. Menurut mereka, pada pelatnas-pelatnas sebelumnya, banyak atlet yang kondisinya malah menurun usai mudik puasa maupun lebaran. Jadi, biar hasil yang kita raih lebih baik, para atlet harus dijaga performanya dengan cara mempertahankan mereka dalam latihan masing-masing.

Satu lagi, gimana kalo para atlet, khususnya yang muslim, ingin bersilaturrahmi dan bermaaf-maafan dengan keluarga? Ternyata, satgas masih memberikan kesempatan. Kebetulan, pihak KONI juga akan mengadakan acara tersebut. Kesempatan itu tentunya harus dimaksimalkan agar para atlet bisa berkumpul dengan keluarga masing-masing.

Memang sih, aturan ini rasanya agak berat, tapi bagi seorang atlet, tidak ada hal lain yang lebih membanggakan selain bisa membela negara untuk dapat bersaing di kompetisi-kompetisi internasional, SEA Games misalnya. Kita cuma bisa berharap, semoga pengorbanan yang mereka berikan tidak sia-sia.
